Examining and working out the plan of treatment in case of implantation
- recording on CT (computer tomograph) and processing information;
- working out an individual treatment plan on the basis of the data received during the examination;
- discussing with patient all possible variants of treatment, evaluating the work cost.
Performing the operation:
The term of orthopedic service is determined by bone quality (density) and data received from the fixation of implants.
- Prosthesis implantation in 21 day (permanent construction);
- prosthesis implantation in 7 days (temporary construction on either temporary or constant implants);
- permanent construction for lower jaw can be made only in three months;
- permanent construction for upper jaw can be made only in six months.
If bone deficiency is observed, bone plastics (the increase of bone volume) is done
- with at once made implant;
- with later made implant (upper jaw – six months, lower jaw – three months);
If bone plastics is needed, th epatient is informed about it during the discussion of treatment plan (point 3). If necessary, additional examination is appointed.
Contraindications for implantation
1. Cardiovascular system diseases:
- all chronic diseases in the period of exacerbation;
- presence of artificial mitral valves.
2. Immune system diseases:
- noticeable lowering of organism resistance that needs constant hormonal treatment;
3. Endocrine system diseases:
- heavy forms of diabetes mellitus.
4. Circulatory system diseases:
- hemolytic anemia;
- leucosis;
- lymphogranulomatosis.
5. Central nervous system diseases::
- schizophrenia;
- paranoia;
- alcoholism;
- drug addiction.
6.Heavy forms of cancer diseases.
7. AIDS, sexually transmitted (venereal) diseases, tuberculosis.
