Endodontic teeth treatment

Cafferdam stops the getting of bacteria from nasal to oral cavity, protects tunica mucosa of mouth from the influence of used irritants, pushes off soft tissues of oral cavity, maintains asepticism and promotes total control of the operative site in the process of treatment.

To keep up to all necessary conditions endodontic tooth processing is to be performed with the help of an assistant. Root channel obturation is a sound filling of its cavity with tightening materials and additional hardening agents. It is done to break the connection of periodontium with the tooth cavity (to get rid of the centre of its infection and irritation). Besides, obturation includes treatment of chronical inflammation centres in the bone and formation of cement screw in the apical hole.

Modern methods of obturation presuppose the use of gutta-percha. During many years of its use this material has proved to be a good one: it is safe for teeth tissues, fills the channel densely. Besides, it is easy to remove it if the channel needs another treatment.

The most reliable and expected result of channel filling can be achieved with the use of warmed-up gutta-percha when the last becomes fluid and is able to fill not only the central channel, but its slightest branches either.
